About the Photographer

Hello my name is Brittany Locklin. I am a mother of five boys and I have been taking freelance digital photos for 10 years and film photography 10+ years.

 (My ideal clients are Moderate-Low Income/ Fixed Income Individuals/Families but I will work with any budget.)

 

I love to take candid type pictures/portraits to allow the subject(s) to be comfortable in their elements. I enjoy capturing laughter, non-posed smiles and I have absolutely no problem doing what needs done for/with a client to get that perfect picture (example: Lay on the ground with an overstimulated client to get the perfect picture- if your environment is chaotic that's okay & together we can make that element amazing.) I will wait for and snap pictures of the giggles, silly poses, sparkle in the eye, natural and completely candid shots that turn into creative portrait like pictures.

 

I use 2 cameras during the photoshoot: Canon RebelT7 and Nikon B500.  I do not alter photographs by editing out freckles, wrinkles, or any imperfections because I believe that is what makes us unique.  I crop, edit lighting, edit contrast/saturation and sometimes add color filters when needed but for the most part I release the original pictures to the client- all of the pictures taken that day (except for the obviously blurry ones that shouldn't be printed).

After uploading the photographs to my computer, I will edit the pictures as needed and then I will upload them to this website as well as social media outlets. Then I will download all Original digital photos onto a zip drive for the client which will either be hand delivered or mailed within 1 month(*) after the photoshoot. There will be specific folders of pictures that I have edited, unedited, locations/dates, and my Favorites. The client then receives the rights to print/share photos as they see fit.

I do charge an hourly rate but I am flexible and know that weather changes and life happens and sometimes a 1 hour shoot turns into a 2 day adventure instead. I do not want anyone going with out pictures of themselves or family because they feel like they can't afford it. I will work with any budget.
